Who needs to install this patch
If you use QuickBooks Point of Sale 2004 version 7.0.15 you need to install this service pack.

Enhancement and Fixes
This service pack is available free to QuickBooks Point of Sale 2004 customers. It updates the following functions:

Unit of Measure Items
When you have the option on to summarise transactions back to QuickBooks, a unit of measure items stocking figure was being adjusted rather than the sales stock on hand figure.

Customer Account Surcharges
Surcharges were not being applied to customers making a payment on their account using EFT or credit card.

Laybys in Training Mode
Laybys created in training mode were being included in live layby reports printed from POS Administrator.

Printing Customer Details
When a customer account card is scanned and the operator prints a second receipt, the customer's name was not being printed.

Transaction History
If no transaction was highlighted in a search either through no items showing for that search pattern or using a search pattern then altering it, then clicking on Print Receipt or Print Invoice would cause POS to close down.

Item Price Levels
If an operator changed an items price level 2 or 3 in POS Administrator and the change was posted back to QuickBooks, the item would become corrupted with incorrect data.

Pump Sales for QuickFuel
If a customer account was set up with a preset price level or percentage the settings were not being applied when pump sales were pulled down from Postec.

New Featfor Invoice Printing
In the Invoice Printer options in Point of Sale Terminal a new option is now available allowing the operator to select from a preset list, how far down the page to begin printing to make way for preprinted header paper.

Installation Instructions

PLEASE NOTE: Quicken Software encourages ALL users of QuickBooks Point of Sale 2004 V7.0.15 to apply this update.

1. Before installing this service pack please ensure that Point of Sale Administrator and all of your Point of Sale Terminals are closed.
2. QuickBooks Point of Sale 2004 Service Pack 1 is supplied as a self-extracting compressed file with the name of QBPOS2004SP1.exe.
3. Double-click the QBPOS2004SP1.exe file to run the program and follow the prompts.
4. Click Next on the first screen.
5. Click to select the program(s) loaded on this PC then click Next.
6. The installer will now prompt for the location of your Point of Sale program(s). If the location is incorrect click the Browse button to find the correct directory then click Next.
7. If all of the details in the Current Settings window are correct, click Next.
8. The installer will now install the service pack and display a message to tell you it has installed successfully.
9. In Help > About QuickBooks Point of Sale your new version will be 'Version 2004 7.0.23'.
10. The service pack must be installed on the Point of Sale Administrator installation as well as all Point of Sale Terminal installations.
